Marian McPartland, host of NPR's "Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz", has a cd series taken from her program. The latest release is the recorded broadcast of an interview with Donald Fagen and Walter Becker. They discuss their creative process, pre-Steely Dan musical experiences, and jazz influences like Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington. Plus stripped-down, live performances of "Josie", "Black Friday" and "Chain Lightning".
