Howdy--I'm a pretty rabid Steely Dan fan (since my college days in the mid-to-late 1970s), and am puttering around the tribes doing the getting-to-know-you thing.
Just to throw something out for discussion: opinions on the new Steely albums (Two Against Nature and Everything Must Go)? Myself, I was cautious at first, but soon discovered both of them in turn hooked into my brain, and now I've become quite fond of both of 'em.

I felt the same way you did about the new material. At once, I was so happy that they were putting out new material, but wondered if it could possibly compare w/ classic SD. Well, Two Against Nature impressed me greatly! I regret to say I've yet to purchase Everything Must Go, but I've heard it several times, and like it a great deal. All previous hesitation has been vanquished! And, seeing them on tour in '97, playing old and new material, really helped. I wish I'd seen them last year. D'oh!
